Term 2 2025 P&C Update
Hi All,
I’ve recently taken on the role of President of the Grays Point P&C and wanted to share a quick update as we kick off the term.
Our first meeting for the term is coming up this Monday 12th May and going forward I've mixed things up a little for future P&C meetings - come by the library from 6:30pm for a casual catch-up, some cheese and social drink before we officially kick off the meeting at 7:00pm. Hopefully this gives us a chance to connect a bit more before diving into the agenda.
If you’ve ever felt unsure about coming to a P&C meeting - please consider this your invite to give it a go. There’s no pressure, no roles being handed out and absolutely no cliques.
We are a group of parents making sure the money we've all helped raise goes straight back into the school in ways our kids can see and feel right now.
We’re trying to keep things real, relaxed and useful - and the social drink is a step in that direction!
A big thank you to Dave Standen for his incredible work and commitment over the past three years. Dave helped get some great things off the ground and leaves big shoes to fill - thank you, Dave!
A very special shout-out to Nicole Kirby, who has been an incredible support to the P&C throughout all the years her children have attended Grays Point and a big thank you to Elsja Hancock as well, who is stepping back from the Vice President role - your time and contribution have been so appreciated.
You’ll notice a few other fresh faces this year - Rhiannon Hockey has come on board as Secretary, and Tanya Brown is stepping into the Vice President role.
We've already got something fun in the works - keep an eye out for an invite landing in your inboxes shortly for a Trivia Night on Saturday 14th June!
The team from Time For Trivia will be helping us host what’s sure to be a great night up at the school.
We’d love to see some new (and familiar!) faces on Monday.
With thanks,
Cathy
